Scottie's Off to the Lions

Scottie nelson returned to South Africa this week on the trail of the Lions.
He will visit benjy's family before taking in the first test.
Rumour has it, he's taken his boots just in case!

Bon Voyage, Scottie!

BELOW: Club President Dessie Nevin recently became the second proud father at Ballymoney this year to play a senior league game alongside his son. Below, Dessie and Nigel are pictured just before the Fourth's league Game away to Antrim.

Des was obviously chuffed of his achievement: "This was a really proud day for both of us. Rugby has always been a big part of our family life and today, by playing together on the same team, we reached another milestone together."
Nigel was reflective, "I was proud to play alongside my dad on this one occasion but, with due respect, on my return to the Toon I'd hope to be moving up the teams before next season."

When asked if there were any akward moments, Nigel replied, "Only this morning... when Dad was packing his kit and couldn't find his Ballymoney socks..."
(Dessie hasn't worked it out yet and we promise not to tell where they went!!)
