Ballymena put a well drilled 4th XV out, and their organisation in attack and defense proved the difference between the sides. Time and a gain, and after only a few phases, the Ballymena pack would work their pods to create extra men, and their back line would pick the right choice to use the space.
Some bright spells for Ballymoney saw a heartening 10 minutes at the start of the second half, with sustained pressure and some yards gained. Eventually a lovely pass from Simon Macrae put Andy Foster in the corner for the only try.
