Ballymoney 3s came up against a very well drilled Malone 4s team at the Kilraughts Road on Saturday. Although the 3s started brightly it was Malone who struck first scoring four tries and a penalty in the first half. Although the Ballymoney men had some sustained pressure in the last minutes of the half they could not cross the oppositions whitewash. The Ballymoney men started the second half with the same pressure but again it was Malone who scored, crossing the whitewash five more times. The 3s finished the game strongly but unfortunately could not turn the pressure into points. Man of the Match was Robert Fulton. The 3s travel to Donaghadee 2s next week in the first round of the Forster Cup.
