Despite the scoreline the men from the toon showed a lot of heart and desire. Unfortunately forced to start the match with 14 men soon to be down to 13 losing Jordon early on. Down to 13 it was the men from the toon who had the better of the early play, putting the PSNI players under lots of pressure and where unluckily not to open the scoring but for last ditch tackling from PSNI
Unfortunately at set piece Ballymoney under the new rules had to pack down with 8 in the scrum leaving lots of area to allow PSNI to attack. It was at these restart PSNI did all the damage with overlaps right across the pitch.
Open play was often 50/50 with men from the toon battling hard.
On fulltime capt Neil commented I couldnt ask anything more from the players on show. Taking the game to them at every opportunity unfortunately not getting the scores their efforted deserved.
