Ballymoney 1st XV finally get there league campaign underway on Sat 10th September with an away trip to Belfast High School Former Pupils.
It's been a busy summer on the training paddock for the senior players. A new coaching team of Jonny Hanna, James Cleland and David Calvin aided by club stalwart Jason Taggart have seen the players put through a rigorous pre season training regime. The club also welcomes a new 1st XV and club captain in John McFetridge.
The hard work has been evident in the fitness levels and work rate in the pre-season matches so far. Narrow but encouraging defeats against Academy and Ballyclare, both sides playing in higher leagues, have underlined the players commitment and enthusiasm. The players are very much looking forward to the challenge of this season ahead, starting with a stern test this Saturday.
