RESPECT THE REFEREES
I would like to take this opportunity to remind all our supporters and players at all levels of the game here at Ballymoney RFC, of the importance of showing RESPECT towards referees, who give up their time to manage rugby matches at all levels within the Ulster Branch of the IRFU.
I have read in the press of an increased level of abuse towards referees by clubs supporters in a variety of sports and increasingly in the game of rugby.
I would, therefore, encourage all our players and supporters to RESPECT THE REFEREES, when they take control of our Club matches.
We have an excellent record, at BallymoneyRFC, in the manner by which we treat visiting referees and including our own Club Referees- Jarvis, Eamon, Jerome and Tony.
We cannot afford for ill-discipline to impact upon the provision of referees, as this would have a detrimental impact on Clubs.
Ballymoney RFC is pro-active in addressing this matter and take it very seriously. The Club may apply sanctions to anyone who disregards the Ulster Branch Code for Spectators and also the Code for Players and we trust that these will never be required for action. Please read the Codes
Thank you for taking your time to read this and please remember:-
