Wednesday 15th August saw the Ballymoney RFC U20s take to the field against very strong local opposition from Limavady. The standard of rugby on display from both teams was exceptional and a very enjoyable game of rugby was had by all.
The final score, 19 - 5, in the favour of Ballymoney reflected the effort by both sides, with the visitors making marginally more defensive mistakes than the home side.
Well done to our U20s, and we look forward to more of this entertaining standard of rugby this season.
Also on display on Wednesday evening were the 6 Nations Trophy and the Triple Crown. Hundreds of club members and supporters turned up to participate in this memorable occasion and have their photos taken with the trophies. We hope you all enjoyed getting up close to the silverware so deservedly won by the Ireland Team.
The U20s tournament, which was due to be played on the 15th, had been postponed at the last minute by Ulster Rugby, and will now take place at Ballymoney RFC on Wednesday 29th August (6.00pm KO). We would encourage our members and supporters to once again come out and show your support for our U20s team.
