Ballymoney 2XV faced off against a strong Clogher Valley side in the Quarter Final of the Crawford Cup.
Valley scored after 10 minutes crossing the line following a number of phases opening the scoring at 7-0.
5 minutes later the visitors crossed the whitewash again after a strong scrum allowed them to gain yards and spread the ball wide to score and convert taking the score to 14-0
The hosts had good spell of possession with strong carries from Ruairi Hawthorne and Ryan Millar but were unable to take advantage of their possession.
Just before the break, Clogher Valley extended their lead further after catching Ballymoney on the break and showed good hands to pass the ball wide and cross the line. Converted try taking the score too 21-0
On 50 mins, Dan McConaghie came close to scoring for the "Toon" after a good carry but was unfortunately held up on the line.
The visitors continued to pile on the pressure and scored again extending their lead to 28-0. 5 minutes later, Valley played fast rugby to move the ball out to the winger who crossed the whitewash again, making the score 35-0
With 15 minutes to go the visitors scored again after kicking for the corner and set up a mall to drive over the line, try converted making the final score 42-0
Ballymoney look forward to a league clash away to Bangor next week hoping to gain valuable points in the league.
